What is it infrastructure management?

"Infrastructure" normally refers to something that supports or aids. In a computer system, for example, something like your router that provides the Internet access would be an "infrastructure" for your actual computer. It is not part of the computer itself, but supports or aids the computer to be able to do something - in this case access the Internet. If you have any suggestion please reply asap.
