Every 3 months google page rank gets updated. so, u should have patient to rank ur site.

The google checks the quality of ur sites depending upon ur site natural backlink, contents,pages etc...

So, if u have such things in ur site ...u can easily get good pagerank for ur site.

The time required to obtain page rank depends on the quality and quantity of the backlinks of your site. In usual case the site starts getting page ranks in 3-4 months, if you have a decent back links from good sites. you cannot expect to get a high page rank in a short period as it is a gradual process.

Google Page Rank is not a chocolate. TO get PR you should have few points, like-

- Genuine Content
- Proper use of Meta Tag
- Should have quality backlinks

And, no one can tell you in how many days your page will got the Page Rank.

the guide - I think submitting to lots of directories wasn't a good idea. If the directory where your link was submitted had PR1 - The page would be at most PR3...

It depends on your SEO work if you do white hat SEO then probably within one month it will start to show you the result and if you do any other method than the white hat SEO then it might take long time to display the result and in some cases it might never displays the result so focus on the work you will definitely get the result.
