How to building link?

There are many patterns to build links. But two of them are following:
Write a Squidoo lens about your website topic. Then put a link in your Squidoo lens back to your website. You can open an account at Squidoo by clicking on the link in the resources section of this article.
Write an article about your topic and submit it to any of the online article directories. You can use GoArticles or Ezinearticles or any of the other many article directories online. Include a link back to your Squidoo lens in your article or resource box.

Article submission , Directory submission , Forum Posting, Blog comment , Press release , Social Bookmarking etc are very useful techniques for link building. It helps to increase traffic and generate back links.

I want to say press release is the best medium for promoting a new business or any news or products launched by a company or firm.It is a great medium of getting the traffic on a website.If i forget some points about press release please share your views.
