This week Yahoo signed the contact securing and expanding Sony's license for video on demand. In doing this Yahoo has as well added an assortment of music videos from Sony, which you can choose from Yahoo's music catalog. The music videos from Sony would be on hand for anyone who makes sure of Yahoo and Yahoo's off network branded video player. If that was not actually sufficient Yahoo users could place together audio recordings from Sony in their user generated audiovisual content.

When Myspace and Facebook were first generated no one thought that they would actually become as accepted as they are today. Social Networking could be the thing of the future. It is a way to unite with people from around the world and a way to promote the things you do and as well sell. Yahoo! And Google are now feeling little out of market - which is why they are taking steps to upgrade the way they do things.
They are both changing their e-mails and generating a social graph (the connection between the different people). Yahoo is working on things that are identified as Inbox 2.0 - which would leverage the data that is being gathered into the e-mail accounts as well as the user's personal homepage. |

IAC and Google recently announced a comprehensive agreement where the search giant Google would offer Ask.com and IAC's other Internet brands with sponsored listings. The five-year term is actually not disclosed. "It is simply great that Ask.com has been able to expand its agreement with Google. They are clearly the market leaders and their extraordinarily efficient operation would really benefit Ask.com and our other internet properties," said Barry Diller, IAC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Yahoo Inc. has of late launched an open source program objective at enhancing research and growth of systems software for distributed computing. Sunnyvale-based Yahoo (NASDAQ :YHOO) stated that this plan is projected to leverage its leadership in Hadoop, an open source circulated computing sub-project of the Apache Software Foundation, to allow researchers to adapt and assess the systems software running on a 4,000 processor supercomputer provided by Yahoo.
"Unlike other companies and traditional supercomputing centers, which focus on offering users with computers for running tools and for coursework, Yahoo's plan focuses on pushing the boundaries of large-scale systems software research," the company said. |

This program would permit the users to calculate their carbon footprint, to select their personalized carbon-reducing initiatives and compare their footprint and actions to other country by Google UK Carbon Footprint Map.
