Every business is eventually meant to provide services or manufacture products for the common man and the communities and in turn develop their own business and profits to earn a living for themselves involved in that particular business.
However, there are many businesses in the market providing similar services to the communities. As a result today every market is filled with heavy competition and one needs to be aware and more innovative to survive in that competition. Ultimately the success of a company depends upon the quality of services they provide or the products they manufacture for the societies. But then again predominantly attention of society initially is the biggest challenge faced by every arising company in the market. And this is quite difficult as there are already established and well reputed companies in the market providing similar services. The challenge lies upon the question that why any customer would want to walk into a company that is new in the field for services while there is another company in the same market who is well reputed and provides similar services? It is a justifiable question and the new company needs to answer convincingly to earn the trust of the common man to provide services and earn a reputable name for them.
Here is where how effective is the marketing strategy employed by the company comes into play. Marketing and advertising is the only source to gain the attention of the society stating that there is a brand in the market providing such and such services and they guarantee to provide quality services with customer satisfaction as their primary goal. And then when a customer approaches they need to answer his/her queries convincingly to gain their trust and stick to their promises by proving a real high standard quality product or service which in turn over time as the word spread gets them the desired reputation as a very good brand who is quite professional as well. In turn over experience the company also grows sustaining pressure and learning all along from their mistakes developing more better and precise services for the betterment of the community.

Also besides today there are several blogs and forums posting conversations of like minded people where your business is also likely to be spoken about. A customer of yours who is satisfied with your services who is also a member of that particular blog or forum is bound to pass on credits about your company and its services. Which means more new people will come to trust upon your services which are certainly good for the business.

We all know about companies making use of celebrities and their reputation to promote one's product or service. This is a wonderful notion as we all do follow these celebrities and trusts them for what they have to say. Fan worship is quite common all around the world and the fact that a celebrity won't engage in making business with your company without knowing about your company makes it even more comfortable for viewers to believe in your company and its promises. A celebrity's reputation is at stake when he/she promotes your brand and no celebrity would want to spoil that.
However, there are some companies which makes use of fake id's which shows the personal who posts his/her view as an expert or a celebrity which is quite astounding and very critical. Consumers have put their faith on their celebrities and they come forward for these companies. Later they realize that they have been cheated and it was a fraudulent company.
Creating fake ids or usernames and posting as experts or as a celebrity in blogs and forums is highly unethical and a criminal offense. Such companies should be tracked down and tried severally.
As an expert I have come across many incidents where such practices have been found and proved. Here are a few examples that I have come across.
We all know about the famous Jim and Laura Wal-Mart's story. This particular Wal-Mart company has been involved in several trial charges and has often known to have been colliding with government policies and other regulations as well. They have also abused their employees by paying them less or barely paying them at all, making promises and not keeping them adding fuel to fire for millions of people who have come across their services and been cheated. The company essentially started a blog for themselves to promote their company in which Laura and Jim have posted high opinions about the company. The fact is many people don't even know whether Jim and Laura are real or whether it is fake id's created by the company itself boasting about their services and policies. Also later it was found out that these people were real, but they did not provide any substantial evidence for their conclusions or judgment of opinions. Also they had enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Los Angeles and these two personals are mere photographer and a freelancer. They barely make some kind of a living which is very minimal even for basic necessities. Where they got that kind of money to enjoy their vacation creates a big question mark.

Another example is INSYS INFOCOMM. The company is supposedly a very successful IT company in the market providing services to millions of clients giving several opportunities for IT and CSE graduates. However, there are many young graduates who have approached them, attended interviews and are yet to start working as an IT professional. The company doesn't even have a formal website promoting their company. The mail people are using Google mail and they have posted several good opinions and false promises using fake ids in many forums and blogs. You can also find many members complaining against them calling them using all kinds of names and accusing them left, right and center. In fact they also ask people some amount of money for scheduling the interview or for some model test papers which is quite bizarre as interviews are supposed to be held free of cost and model test papers can be downloaded for free via millions of websites. A proper refines search is more than enough for the web user to find such papers.
Today it is pretty much possible for everyone to find thousands of comments that are fraudulent by nature across millions of websites, blogs and forums.
Sometimes the company itself creates those fake ids to post such comments about their services and about the company to develop a fake reputation and fool people. Also while they post such comments they also provide links to their websites which creates sufficient amount of backlinks. Backlinks and keywords forms an essential part of search engine ranking algorithm's analysis. The greater the amount of backlinks and stuffing of keywords, the better is the ranking for the website. As a result they create a poor website stuffed with keywords and makes use of blogs, forums and other genuine websites to create backlinks for them providing false details to the search engines and manipulating them for higher rankings. As a result I have come across situations where 6 out of the top 10 result sets pertaining to a search phrases belong to such crappy websites providing false promises and cheating people. They amalgamate the search result's purity as well and dissolve the whole purpose of search engines in the process annoying millions of web users.
Spammers and hackers are also pretty much involved in similar practices for the betterment of their own websites. Most of the fake id's you can come across millions of blogs and forums commonly belong to these spammers and hackers. The worse of all scenarios is when these spammers and fakers don't even get involved manually to create these id's and post such meaningless comments upon blogs and forums making them look like an expert or a celebrity, they have automated programs where they make use of bots to create these fake id's with dynamic addresses and post the same comments. This makes it all the more difficult to track them down and penalize them as they use dynamic id addresses.
All the more, if they make use of a celebrity name for their id to post such comments, it creates a huge scandal in the society where the celebrity is put to the sword in the name of investigation and the poor fellow finds a hard time proving his innocence being victimized by some spammer or hacker. Of course, spammers and hackers cannot get away with it and the celebrity will come out in peace but they create such a nuisance amongst the society wasting everyone's time and affecting certain people as well who have fallen prey to their baits.
Search engines are taking every possible measure to improve the quality of its automated algorithms to purify the system and identify the people involved in such malpractices and bring them out in the society and give them a proper trial. As a web user it is also your duty to research thoroughly about the company's background before using their services or purchasing their products. Also it is your duty to report a scam when you find such suspicious activities or comments posted upon blogs and forums or in websites, so that more victims do not fall as prey to their baits and proper justice could be served.Spammers usually create fake ids and represent themselves as celebrities or experts in order to gain popularity and high traffic for their website.
