Tiny text is the method of hiding text from users by making it as small as possible usually in the range of 1 to 20 pixels. When you add such tiny text on the pages it's virtually impossible to see with the naked eye. This is one of the oldest forms of spamming which has been there from the time search engines came into existence. A simple code in HTML will help you make the code tiny and spammers use this to hide their necessary keywords without disturbing the look and feel of the website. Also if someone wants to stuff the page with lot of keywords and not to use hidden text method, they will go for tiny text since this virtually looks like a line on the page itself.

     Similarly tiny text linking acts the same way here, you don't add them as text but you might be linking the words to different pages of your website or to other web sites. Anchor text plays a vital role in all search engine algorithms and makes sure that the anchor text has important keywords in them which will rank the website higher. People use the power of anchor text in tiny text and either crosslink pages on same site or link to different websites they own or they want to sell / trade link with. Dot linking is another spam where the person will just use dots to hide links to different pages. You will just see 10s to 100s of dots mostly on the bottom of the page but if you move your mouse over it, you will see that each dot links to different pages.

     We can use other methods too, but the font tag is the primary weapon of spammers. Search engines literally ban websites, if they see usage of these kinds of tactics extensively on websites.
