101 Articles Mass / Automated Artcle Submission
MASS/AUTOMATED ARTICLE SUBMISSION
Very similar to the directories article submission / article syndication sites have grown from 2 good article sites to 100s today. If you search in Google you will find some article submission service providing service to submit up to 500+ directories. This is terrible search engine manipulation. When an article is submitted to 500 different sites then it is virtually 500 different copies of the same article. With so much junk to crawl search engines need to tackle another major spam that crawling 500 duplicates.
Imagine you are buying a DVD of the movie titanic in Wal-Mart will you buy the same movie DVD because the sticker posted on the DVDs are different. Of course NO, I imagine the article submission sites doing the same thing; it is showing same articles with different template. Search engines have good sophisticated technologies to strip out templates of sites from the content on the page. So if they strip the template then they see virtually same content on 500 different article sites. Who wants to see 500 different versions of same articles? Aggressive SEO related directory submissions mimic 100s of duplicate descriptions, the same way article sites just hold 100s of duplicate articles.
There is a difference between writing good articles and submitting to quality sites like boingboing.net to be published. Very few do that, others just write articles to gain backlinks through mass article submission services.
