Hosted content or themed link page is a page on a website written about your website or your client website. Unlike paid blogs here there is a dedicated page with an article that will have link to your webpage. Some SEO companies target sites to host a single page written about their website or client site and link it to the targeted sites. This has become a common effective search engine manipulation tactic in recent years. Presell pages are very similar to buying links instead of buying just links you actually buy a page itself. It is buying or renting a page on a popular website completely written about you. This tricks the search engine to believe that there is relevant link from a quality site to your site. Link sounds very relevant because the page will have keywords and description which will describe the linked page.

Some link brokers' claim to the content will be optimized and will indeed rank themselves in search engines. To some extent it is true the whole purpose is not to make it rank but to send link popularity to the site that has bought the link.

Sometimes the brokers who sell these types of pages hide the whole deal because they know it's against Search Engine guidelines. It's very similar to buying text links and search engines don't like buying links. Some even call themed link pages as the perfect links but it is a definite search engine manipulation tactic. The links are not editorial and gives the power to people who have money not to the people who run good quality sites.

Some brokers target government and education sites which are known to have good profile themselves. Link brokers find all possible ways to transfer the quality of big sites to their client sites.
